Five days of international scholarship in biblical studies, Hebrew, archaeology, manuscripts, theology, and emerging digital methods—live online, 6–10 November 2026.

Janice F. Baca and the Living Scroll team invite you to the European Hebrew Journal International Scholarly Online Conference 2026, “New Discoveries and New Directions in Biblical, Hebrew, and Theological Studies.” This gathering offers a rare opportunity to hear scholars and researchers from around the world examine ancient evidence, revisit long-standing questions, and explore new directions in studying Scripture and its historical worlds.

Hosted live via Zoom from 6–10 November 2026, the conference brings together more than 60 international speakers and approximately 60 scholarly sessions across biblical archaeology, the Hebrew Bible and Biblical Hebrew, Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls, manuscript studies and textual criticism, Second Temple Judaism, Jewish and early Christian studies, theology, ancient history, translation, digital humanities, and artificial intelligence.

Why This Conference Matters

The most fruitful scholarship often begins where disciplines meet. Archaeological discoveries can reshape historical questions. Manuscripts can preserve unexpected textual and interpretive traditions. Linguistic study can illuminate the texture of a passage, while digital tools can help researchers see patterns that were previously difficult to detect. EHJ 2026 creates space for these conversations to unfold together.

Everyone is invited. Whether you are encountering these subjects for the first time or have studied them for years, the program offers an accessible way to explore the Bible, Hebrew language, archaeology, Judaism, Christianity, theology, and the ancient world. Scholars, students, ministry leaders, educators, researchers, and curious members of the public are all welcome to listen, learn, ask questions, and join the conversation.

My Presentation: The Cochin Hebrew Revelation

On 6 November at 22:00 CET, I will present “Unsealing The Scroll of Mysteries: Revelation and the Cochin Hebrew New Testament from India.” My presentation introduces the Cochin Cambridge Hebrew New Testament manuscripts and then turns to Revelation as a focused test case for their layered Semitic profile. Rather than treating these early modern manuscript copies as late curiosities, the study asks what their distinctive readings may reveal about textual transmission, scribal practice, and interpretation.
